Wednesday, August 12 from 1-2pm This live webinar will be recorded! Click here to sign up.

Speakers: Hilary Lambert, Environmental Education Consultant & Sarah Knee, Founder Wildwood Forest School

There are many reasons to consider implementing an outdoor classroom space at your school or organization, but figuring out where to start can be daunting. We know that learning outdoors has multiple mental and physical health benefits, and current science indicates that the rates of transmission of COVID-19 are lower outside, and the Utah Society for Environmental Education is here to help you take advantage of outdoor spaces to ensure that learning is safer, more equitable, and, of course, more fun!

Join speakers Hilary Lambert and Sarah Knee for an introduction to the basics of outdoor classrooms including:

  • Defining an outdoor classroom and how this concept can work for any school
  • Conducting an inventory of your school's outdoor spaces and determining which of these can best be utilized for instruction outdoors - for any subject!
  • Tips and tricks for outdoor classroom management, including modifications for social distancing
  • Resources & ideas for bringing your outdoor classroom to life

The webinar is free to attend, but you must RSVP to receive the link to participate. The recording will be available the following day, you may also sign up to receive the recording.

USEE is glad to provide these resources for free to our community! To support our work and to ensure that we can continue elevating the field of environmental education head over to our donation page to make a contribution today.
