Using EE to Support SEEd & Learners

Using EE to Support SEEd & Learners

Join us for free professional development and resources, valued at over $100 1-hour Kick-Off & Instructions on Wednesday, March 10, 4pm or Saturday, March 27, 10am. Then, learn at your own pace with virtual, self-guided courses from Project Learning Tree!

Join the Utah Society for Environmental Education to learn how environmental education can support SEEd and learners of all ages. We'll get together live for pre-course content via Zoom. Participants will be able to choose their own learning adventure by participating in a self-guided course from Project Learning Tree. This award-winning curriculum from the Sustainable Forestry Initiative is aligned to NGSS and also supports SEEd standards. Participants will be able to choose from  K-2 "Treemendous Science", 3-5 "Energy in Ecosystems"  or 6-8 "Carbon and Climate" to gain ideas, content and lesson plans for outdoor and virtual learning.

Participants will gain an understanding USEE, how EE supports learners academically, socially and emotionally, and how resources like Project Learning Tree can support their work. Free to join, but you must register in advance.
