Discover the Winter Wonderland of Environmental Education!

Interested in taking students to learn outdoors this winter but not sure where to start? 

Join USEE on December 7th from 4-5pm for an engaging and interactive workshop featuring lessons from Project Learning Tree. We'll explore teaching environmental education activities in the winter and the many benefits that come with it. We will dig in to winter-appropriate lessons for K-2, 3-6, and 6-8 that meet Utah State Board of Education Standards, including the Science with Engineering Education Standards.

All participants will leave with access to a Project Learning Tree e-unit for their grade band.

In the webinar we'll highlight the following topics and activities: 

  • Best practices for teaching outdoors in the winter time
  • K-2: Adopt a Tree observe trees in all seasons
  • 3-6: Get Outside get kids moving during winter and see the benefits of being outdoors 
  • 6-8: Forest in the City discover how trees play an important role even in winter
